This Hangar in the above picture, will be the New Home of the Static Line Parachute Museum, it has over 15,000 sq feet and 16 Ft ceilings. This will give us plenty of room for the Floor Parachute exhibits and also some Hanging Parachute Exhibits. This will also House the Parachute Riggers Shop & Packing Tables. Our goal is to Start restoring and building the Museum in 2018. Floor plans will be posted soon. What differs from most Museums, this was once a active World War II Training Base, check out its history. The Frederick Army Airfield, Training Bomber pilots from 1942-1945.
Today, The World War II Airborne Demonstration Team operates its WWII era C-47 aircraft and conducts WWII style parachute operations and classes. The equipment, the facilities and operations provide a a historical backdrop to take you back to that period of time, the 1940's.
The Frederick Army Airfield Hangar is operated by, The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team Foundation. The Future Static Line Museum will be located at Frederick Army Airfield, the adjoining small hangar, Next to the Main Hangar.
The World War II Airborne Demonstration Team is a 501C3 non-profit organization that is funded by the generosity of the general public. All donations to the team, whether they be in financial support, artifacts or services are tax deductible under the rules of IRS code 501C3. The organization would not be able to maintain its commitment to our veterans without the support of its all volunteer membership and the generosity of the general public.
